In 2010, Zelta Zivtiņa, the most popular pre-payment card in Latvia, wanted to present people with a Christmas greeting to be sent via the Internet that was more surprising, involving and more personal than all those received to date. A film was created in which people could create the content of their own greeting. All Zelta Zivtiņa’s stars had to do was deliver the greeting to the addressee. The campaign’s success was based on a correlation of social networks (facebook, twitter, draugiem.lv) and traditional media (TV, press, etc.).
